I have been unable to locate my father's parents or grandparents. My father was FLOYD COX SR. (11/04/08 - 03/04/77) and his birth certificate (copy) lists his parents as BENJAMIN COX & RAIDA (MORRISON) COX. He was an orphan at a young age and raised by his MORRISON grandparents in the northern part of Stoddard County. Any information would be appreciated.

Looking for info on three Stoddard Co. families:

Family 1:
MCCLAIN, William Allen (went by "Allen") b. 1 Jun 1853 in IL. d. 14 Jul 1927 in MO. Allen married Emiline BATES, 28 Sep 1879 in Cape Girardeau, MO and was listed in the 1880 census, Cape Co., MO. Later, the area where Allen lived was near the Stoddard & Cape Co. lines between Delta & Advance, north of RT 25 on Hwy NN. They're both buried in the same area at Fairview Cem. (Cape Co. Rt 253 off of NN). Allen's father was Charles MCCLAIN and his mother Julia (KESTERSON) MCLAIN, both from IL. Emiline was from Canada? (Unconfirmed).

Family 2:
COOK, Charles Westley (went by "Charlie") b. 27 Jul 1976 in IL. d. 1 Dec 1949 in MO. Charlie married Nora Theora (BOLEN) MOSS on 3 Sep 1902 in Franklin Co, IL. Later they're known to have lived near the Stoddard & Cape Co. lines. (Same area as above, about 1930.) Charlie's father, James COOK and mother Mary LITTERAL were from IL.

Which brings us to Family 3:
LITTERAL, Mary (dates unknown) I found some pictures, from a relitive in AR, of a Minor LITTERAL & family. Later, I find his grave at Fairview Cem., along with his wife, Emma HOLLAND, and his son Harvey. Minor LITTERAL b. 1874 d. 1923 Emma (HOLLAND) LITTERAL b. 1879 d. 1964 Harvey LITTERAL b. 1904 d. 1938 (I found Harvey's funeral records at Morgan Funeral Home, Advance, MO.)(That's how I know Emma's Maiden Name)(Marvin LITTERAL, brother to Harvey, signed the burial order).

Any other info on this family would be greatly appreciated.
