Comments: I am searching for any and all information regarding the BROCK and JAMES families. My great great grandfather, John Brock, was born in Warm Springs, Ark. in the 1850's and 1860's. He married a lady by the name of Mary (Custus). They moved to Pocahontas, Ark. and had two children by the names of Matie and Clara. Clara was born in the year of 1886 in Pocahontas, Ark. Clara later met a man by the name of Lewis James and lived in Walnut Ridge, Ark. They had a child by the name of Orval James in the year of 1907. If you have any information, please E-mail me.

Maudie moved on and had other children with Green. Walnut Ridge area--early 1900's. Did research a few years back but since put it up--might have more info if I can find the notebook.

BYRD apparently died in Lawrence Co. in 1878 according to probate documents listing his widow Amanda BYRD. Am trying to find out: (1) where, exactly, did they live in Lawrence Co. AR?; (2) where are they buried in Lawrence Co. AR?; (3) when did they move into Lawrence Co. AR and obtain land there?; and (4) did they obtain this land from their father (my gg-gf), Wm. Carrol BYRD? Would also like to know if there was a relationship with a certain John and Hannah CANADA there in Lawrence Co. AR ca. 1863-1867 - Wm. Carrol BYRD purchased land in NW Randolph Co. Comments: Response to Libby Frith from Little Rock 1997-08-23 I'm working on Sanders line. Didn't know Calvin and Edward were related. Edward buried at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery marker 9811. Have marriages on Patsy and Melissa, not Sarah. Gr-gr-Aunt Eliza Jane Sanders married Calvin in 1853. They had daughter Elizabeth. In 1858 she married Paul G Clement and in 1866 Wm R Norris. He and she were in MO in 1870 with Johnson girl and 3 Clement children, all lost after that. Any help on any of these?

Comments: My grandfather William Ward STUART lived in Izard Co. in 1900. When my grandmother died in 1807-8-9 my grandfather married again. In the 1910 census I found my grandfather in Lawrence Co. Chche Twp. T624-0055 Soundex T1260-109. In the 1910 census my father, Johan Green STUART was listed as 11 years old. In the 1910 Census was listed several children who were not children of my grandmother and grandfather. However is shows no spouse at that time. When did William Ward STUART marry his second wife, what was her name. I have a picture of this family group, must have been taken about 1910 because my father was still home, as was my uncle Oscar, there was another lady in the picture, her name was not listed on the picture but the name SEATS was listed as the married name of a cousin in that picture. Can you help???? I would be forever grateful. Sincerely Ruth E (STUART) Eklund 3810 Bennett Ave Bellingham WA 98226 EKlund826@aol.com I think my grand mother died around 1807, 08 or o9 because my uncle Oscar was born in 1807 and he was listed in the 1910 census.

Comments: STROUD/ROMINE Family information! Looking for information on Samuel Stroud, 1840 census records show him in Lawrence County. Samuel first married Martha(last name unknown). They had three children Susan Stroud b-1859, William Stroud b-1865 and Enos E. Stroud born 1867. In 1870 census records it shows Samuel and Martha and these three children. In the 1880 census records it shows Samuel married to Clarenda Holcombe with Martha's three children living with them, and three children of their own. Would like to know Martha's last name and the name of Samuel's parents. In all census records, it shows that Samuel was born in Arkansas abt 1836, but that both his parents were born in North Carolina. Would also appreciate any information on any of the Romine's family. My dad was a Stroud born in Fulton County Arkansas and my mother was a Romine born in Fulton County Arkansas. They married and after having their first two children moved to North East Texas. Please if you are related to either of these families I would really appreciate hearing from you. Thanks. Linda Stroud Lamb
