Joseph HIBBARD
FIRST GENERATION
1. HIBBARD Joseph, born Abt 1822 at TN; died 1 Jun 1862 at St.
Louis, MO. Joseph was a red headed school teacher, farmer, and
Justice of the Peace in Fulton Co, AR. In the 1850 Federal Census
of Tishomingo Co, MS, Joseph's mother, Ann is living with the family.
Joseph and Delilah are living in Independence County, AR in 1857 and
1858 according to Bureau of Land Management records. Ann moves with
the family to Fulton Co, AR prior to the 1860 census where her and
Joseph both purchase farms in Fulton County.
There are estate settlement papers in Tishomingo County of a Joseph
Hibbard who died prior to 1850. This may be Ann's husband.
Joseph is buried in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetary in St.
Louis, MO. Section 21 Grave 5032. It list him as a civilian. He
died in a prison of war camp there at the post on the Mississippi
River.
HIBBARD Joseph married WALKER Delilah (the daughter of
Abe WALKER)on 31 Aug 1843 at MS or TN; born Abt 1825 at TN.

3. HIBBARD George Washington (Farmer), born 29 Jan 1846 at MS;
died 22 Aug 1927 at Randolph Co, AR; buried 23 Aug 1927 at Thomas
Cem, Randolph Co, AR.
George Washington Hibbard was a Civil War Veteran. He died at
home of Jim and Annie Hibbard in Lawrence Co, AR after a short
illness. Henry Bennett Holder, father of Charles Darrell Holder
set up with him the night of his death.

daughter of GOLIHAR John H. and LACY Janetta Jane) 21 Jan 1872
at Randolph Co, AR; born 28 Feb 1856 at Randolph Co, AR; died 25
Nov 1919 at Randolph Co, AR; buried at Thomas Cem, Randolph Co,
AR. (John H. Golihar has a Civil War Pension record)
