The following is a roster of most of the members of Rapley’s Sharpshooters.  This list is as complete as I can make it; however, I suspect that about 20 names (mostly former members of 8th Arkansas Battalion) are lost to history.

D, 18th Arkansas Infantry; captured at Corinth, Mississippi, October 4, 1862; exchanged at Vicksburg, Mississippi, November 8, 1862; promoted third corporal, 1862; promoted second corporal, January 3, 1863; captured at Port Hudson, Louisiana, July 9, 1863; paroled at Port Hudson, Louisiana, July 12, 1863; promoted sergeant; captured at Longview, Arkansas, March 29, 1864; enlisted in U.S. Army at Rock Island, Illinois, October 17, 1864; bought land in Jefferson county in 1860.

A, 12th Arkansas Battalion, June 30, 1862; appointed third sergeant, June 30, 1862; present, February 28, 1863; captured on Big Black river, Mississippi, May 17, 1863; died on pneumonia at Point Lookout, Maryland, October 28, 1863.
