Enl in Co G, 11 May 1861 at Memphis, TN. Was at disabled camp at Lauderdale, MS 7 Mar 1865 with tertiary syphilis. Residence: Hernando, MS. At  Blackle Hospital, Augusta, GA12 Nov 1864. In hospital at Meridian, MS 3-4 Mar 1865, syphilis, furloughed.

Age 20, clerk. Enlisted in co  G  5 May 1861 at Jacksonport, AR. Mustered into CSA service 19 May 1861 at Lynchburg, VA. Lost arms at Shiloh, TN. "Gun shot to pieces."On detached service with Dr. Young, Regimentas surgeon, 31 Dec 1862 - 1Mar1863. Paroled 5 Jun 1865 at Jacksonport, AR. Ht 5' 6", eyes gray, hair lt, complx fair, born in NC.

Age 34, clerk. Enl in Co E, 26 Apr 1861 at Benton, AR. Appointed AQM 29 Apr 1862. Dropped 30 Aug 1862.

Age 21, clerk. Enl in Co B, 8 May 1861 at Little Rock, AR. Mustered into CSA Service 19 May 1861 at Lynchburg, VA. Enlistment extended two years Jan 1862. Wounded slightly in arm at 2 p.m. 6Apr1862 at Shiloh, TN, left o of center. Detailed in QM Dept 31 Oct 1862. Issued clothing 31 Mar 1864. Signed as J. P. Bourland.

Transferred to Field and Staff before 31 Aug 1864. Captured 25 Dec 1864 at Pulaski, TNand  sent to MP at Camp Chase, OH 3 Mar 1865 then to Point Lookout, MD 18 Mar 1865.In hospital at Greensboro, NC 7 Apr 1865. See personal papers of N.B.
