14TH (McCARVER'S) ARKANSAS INFANTRY REGIMENT
   CONFEDERATE STATES OF AMERICA

9th Inf Regt
18th AR Inf Bn

Mustered into Confederate Service 23 Sep 1861 at Pocahontas, AR. Four companies, A, B, E & H were detached in Jan 1862 and designated as the 9th Inf Bn. The remainder of the regiment was often known as the 18th Inf Regt. These  companies were consolidated into four companies in May 1862 and were consolidated with the 17th (Lemoyne's) AR Inf  on 14 May 1862 and designated as the 21st AR Inf Regt. Participated in the Corinth, MS campaign April-Jun 1862.

MARTIN, THOMAS J. Actg Adjutant  Enl 7 Oct 1861 at Pocahontas, AR.

MASON, SAMUEL J. Lt Col  Age 43.  Enl 23 Se p1861 at Pocahontas, AR. See 8th AR Inf Regt.

MAYFIELD, ELISHA QM Sgt Age 40.  Enl 1 Nov 1861 at Pocahontas, AR. Dropped 10 Jun 1864.

McCARVER, JOHN S. Col  Age 40.  Enl 1 Sep 1861 at Pocahontas, AR. Commanding Officer.

SMITH, W.M. Pvt Enl 26 Aug 1861 at Pleasant Grove, AR. Nurse in Elliott hospital Nashville, TN.
