10th Regiment Arkansas Militia
Field and Staff

The regimental Field and Staff mustered at Clarksville, Arkansas, from February 20 to March 19, 1862.  Colonel John W. May was in command during this muster.  Most of these men later enlisted in regular Confederate regiments.

Blackard, Toliver G—Judge-Advocate.  Appointed from Co. B; later in Co. L, 7th Arkansas Cavalry.

Butts, Henry G—Major.  Promoted from adjutant; later in Co. B, 7th Arkansas Cavalry.

Cary, Thomas F—Drum-Major.  Later in Co. B, 7th Arkansas Cavalry.

Center, R W—Assistant Surgeon.

Jones, Alexander C—Fife-Major.  Later in Co. L, 7th Arkansas Cavalry.

King, A D—Lieutenant-Colonel.  Later in Co. L, 7th Arkansas Cavalry.

McGuire, Daniel W S—Sergeant-Major.  Later in Co. A, 16th Arkansas Infantry.

McGuire, M M—Surgeon.

May, John W—Colonel.  Later in Co. H, 26th Arkansas Infantry.

May, Thomas K—Quartermaster.  Later in Co. H, 26th Arkansas Infantry.

Porter, William C—Adjutant.  Promoted from sergeant-major; later in Co. A, 16th Arkansas Infantry.

Powers, Jesse S—Commissary.

Pryor, Nathaniel C—Quartermaster-Sergeant.  Later in Co. L, 7th Arkansas Cavalry.
