Descendants of Greenberry (Green B.) Helms of Izard County
Green B. Helms was living in Lafayette Springs,
Mississippi, per the 1870 census records. He then had eight children. By
1880, he was residing in Izard County, Arkansas
and had another son named John Wesley. In the 1900 census records, his
widow, Mary Ann Elizabeth Simons was living
in the household of her son Malachi and his wife Lucinda. Next door lived
John Wesley Helms with his wife Fannie. John
Helms, his grandson (son of Margaret and James Malachi Helms), lived two
houses away with his first wife, Della Copeland.
