Personally appeard Nathan Howard,
William Smith & Peter Rentfro being three of the appraisers appointed
to appraise-the goods & Chtt Absolom Langston late of said District
Deceased before met and being duly sworn made oath that they would make
a just and ? appraisement of all and ? the goods chattels rights &
credits of the said Deceased as shall be the ?
provided by Christian Langston Administrator of the Estate of the said
Deceased and that they were ? the same certified under
their hand unto the said Christian Langston within the time prescribed
by law

Know all men by these parsents that
Christian Langston, Thomas Williams & John Smith are jointly
and sevently solden and firmly bound and obliged unto John Thomas Junr
Esquire Ordinary of Ninety six District in th State aforesaid in the sum
of two thousand pounds sterling to be paid to the said John Thomas Junr
or his ? for the time being in the sd office or
his attorney or assigns to which payment will and truly to be made ?
ourselves and each of us jointly and severally firmly by these presents
sealed with other seals and dated this twenty second of September AD 1783
and in the Eighth year of American Independence
Whereas Administration of all and singular
goods & Chattells rights & credits which were of Absolom Langston
late of sd District Deceased as lately committed by the said John Thomas
Junr unto Christian Langston
The condition of the foregoing obligation
is such that of the said Christian Langston do and shall ? & truly
administration all & singular the goods Chattels rights and credits
which were of the deceased and which shall come into the hand ? in
knowledge of her the said Christian Langston to be administered and make
Distribution of what shall remain after payment of the debts & funeral
expenses of the said deceased in expense of fees: Then this obligation
to be void & of the effect Otherwise to remain in full force ?
