Welcome To The
Benton County, Arkansas
Genealogical Homepage
My name is Opal Anderson Pate; I live in Cassville,Barry , Co Mo.
According to my g-grandpa funeral records, and obit. He and his 4
brothers were born in Benton ,Co. Ar. 1Andrew Jackson(jack) Anderson
b.1849 2 Samuel or (Sylvanus)Walker Anderson he went by Vanus,b 1853
Robert Hunter Anderson,b 1859 his obit said Bentonville, Ar. 3 William
Anderson b.1863,all in Benton Co. On all 4 boys funeral record states,
their parents name were Robert, and Sarah (Roseberry) Anderson, both
from Tennesse. I have no dates on the parents.According to family
history(oral) Robert the dad was killed in the Civil War on the way
home. and their moms name was Rose Bouche(Boo-Shay), She was Cherokee,
and came on the Trail of Tears, and Robert Was Conferdant( They Thought)
Again according to the 4 brothers obits, the 3 oldest came to Barry Co,
Cassville, durring the CW, and William and his mom came in 1865. They
are on the 1870-1880 Barry Co Census, According to the Census their mom
name was Sarah Anderson Head of house and mother, born in Tenn.No record
of the father, on census. Did not find Sarah on the 1900 census. The
boys stayed here, and all are burried in the same cemetary. I have been
all over the Benton Co Web page, Its like they did not exist. But I am
going by what documated Info i have here, so far.My uncle said he can
rember his dad telling him that his dad Sylvanus(my g-grandpa)would go
to Ak and get their grandma Sarah or (Rose)in horse and waggon, she
would stay a while and go home. Some decendants I have spoke to here in
town said that She was burried in a glass or special coffin, around Pea
Ridge Ar. Since her husb was in the war. Then I found a will in a NWA
BACKTRACKER,with these names James K. Anderson , Walter Anderson,Nancy
Roseberry, Sarah Bouche, Samuel (or Sylvanus)Anderson, Robert, and
William , Anderson Widdow Sallie Anderson.3 of the brothers are
mentioned in the will, so there must make a connection some how,
I have no documated proof if the 4 brothers had any sibs bro or sisters,
All I have ever heard them say is 4 boys,I have census on them from
1870-1920 except1890, the 4 bros dided in the late 1920s. having 7 kid
one had 12. I was reading about a list of Cw Soldiers that was killed in
a train wreck in Knoxvill Tn, on their way home maby my Robert Anderson,
born in Ten, I would love to submit the info on this line of Anderson,
