I would appreciate any help I can get with my Willard line. They were on the 1850 and 1850 census there having moved from Union Co. SC. Here is an outline of his family. He was supposed to have been a member of the Gwinnett Guards and died of pneumonia during the war. I have not found any records on a reference in a book. His wife Mary is on the 1860 Mortality schedule. I have not found the Civil War units that the sons were in nor can I find his second marriage. Any help would be appreciated. Robert M. Mitchell and his family were there in 1860 and I think he died there although have been unable to find cemetery records or a will. His family was from Jasper Co. The Dr. Tandy Mitchell there was related to him. I understand that at one time a will was present but only the folder was found when a family researcher was there years ago. His line is as follows: Descendants of Robert M. Mitchell 1 Robert M. Mitchell b: 1791 in Virginia d: 17 November, 1862 in Georgia . +Betsy Garrett b: 02 February, 1792 in North Carolina d: Aft. 1883 in Georgia m: 29 August, 1814 in Oglethorpe Co., Georgia ........ 2 John F. Mitchell seems to disappear. I find him in Monroe Co. GA on the marriage record and on the 1850. I cannot find he or his wife on the 1860 census anywhere and then in 1870 she is in Gwinnett Co. with their 4 sons near his parents. I have not found muster rolls that might identify him in the war. Thanks for your help. Suzanne Sowell
